MagSert Washing Machine

The MagSert® W-PX-675-2 conditions the hot and cold water flowing into your washing machine. It is designed to help reduce the tendency of mineral deposits to adhere and harden inside water inlets, valves, hoses, pumps, and other water-contact areas—helping make hard-water buildup easier to manage over time.

By helping reduce mineral accumulation in water-moving components, MagSert® may help support more efficient operation and extend the service life of the washing machine pump. It may also help water and laundry products mix more effectively, allowing some users to achieve satisfactory cleaning with less detergent.

Results vary depending on local water chemistry, mineral concentration, washing habits, detergent type, machine condition, and existing buildup.

What it does—and what it doesn't

MagSert® conditions water as it flows through each unit. It is not a water softener or filter, and it does not remove minerals from the water. The minerals remain in the water; MagSert® is designed to help change how mineral deposits form and adhere to surfaces.

Two units included

This set includes two MagSert® units:

• One for the hot-water connection
• One for the cold-water connection

Both units should be installed so the washing machine receives conditioned water from each supply line.

Simple installation

1. Turn off the hot- and cold-water supply valves.
2. Unplug the washing machine before working behind it.
3. Place a towel beneath the hose connections to catch any remaining water.
4. Disconnect both water-supply hoses from the back of the washing machine.
5. Thread one MagSert® unit onto each washing machine water inlet.
6. Reattach the appropriate hot- and cold-water hoses to the MagSert® units.
7. Tighten the connections until secure. Do not overtighten.
8. Slowly turn the water-supply valves back on.
9. Check every connection carefully for leaks before returning the washing machine to its normal position.

No permanent plumbing changes are required.

Will it affect my water pressure?

The MagSert® Washing Machine units install inline between the hot- and cold-water hoses and the washing machine's water inlets. They are designed to allow water to flow through without noticeably affecting the washer's normal water pressure or fill performance.
